This was the second of two grants — totally $2,000 — that the Wakelee Memorial Funderal Home has given to Adam’s House. The ceremony took place on Thursday, beginning around 4 p.m.Adam’s House is a grief support organization for children of Connecticut who have lost a loved one. Their mission is to offer grief education and peer support in what they refer to as a home-like setting.“Here, children and their families will gather to draw support from their peers and gain new strategies for dealing with this loss,” reads the mission statement for Adam’s House.The check was given on behalf of Matthews Children’s Foundation — a non-profit organization that supports local children’s charities across the nation.
